I accepted to be a reviewer of the manuscript entitled “Cyanobacterial blooms in oligosaline, alkaline microacumulation (Aleksandrovac lake, Serbia) – before and after rehabilitation ”.  I filled and send review form by your Editorial System platform. In your subbmision system there is no place to add manuscript word document with my comments. For this reason I send it to you via email.

The manuscript provides clear and precise information about changes in the Cyanobacteria community in the alkaline, oligosaline lake before and after the rehabilitation. The paper shows a concrete example that the rehabilitation of the lake and the planning of the technical and technological solutions must take into consideration the community of organisms and the specifics of their life cycle. Rehabilitation has not yielded results in terms of improving water quality and elimination of conditions that are appropriate for the development of potentially invasive and toxic algae.

This paper presents data on the rare forms of blooming in Serbia (Cylindrospermum stagnale, Lyngby aestuarii, Cylindrospermopis raciborskii) and also shows the massive presence of the genus Glaucospira which is rarely found in Europe. Data on the development of potentially invasive and toxic species in Serbia was very rarely published and is lacking in the literature that shows their distribution in Europe and the world.

Therefore Iconcludethat the paper “Cyanobacterial blooms in oligosaline, alkaline microacumulation (Aleksandrovac lake, Serbia) – before and after rehabilitation”should beaccepted for printing inyour journal, honoring thesmall changesin the text.
